It lies 2 km west of the Yenikaya Village in the Sincan District of Ankara. It rests on a rock hill, which is ca. 30 m high. The fortress was erected on a terrace with largest dimensions being 35x85 m at the hilltop. Fortifications can be traced on each direction. Sherds are dated to the Hittite, Phyrgian, Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine Periods. |
