| It is situated in the Kizilirmak (Halys) Valley, 3 km west of the Asar Village in the Kolay Subdistrict of the Bafra District in Samsun. It rests on the southern steep slope of a rocky hill. It was enclosed by fortifications. Sherds from the Late Iron Age account for a majority of the cultural artifacts uncovered during the systematic survey conducted in the fortress and its vicinity. |
