| It has been identified with the Yapildak Village (?) of the Lapseki District [Basaran 1999:349]. Along with its neighbour Skepsis, it was located on the Troad. According to the information provided by Anaximenes of Lampsakos, it was founded by Miletos [Gorman 2001:244]. The city was paying a high tribute to the Delian League during the 5th century BC [Sevin 2001a:62]. |
