It lies approximately 2.5 km southeast of the Dumu reservoir in the Dogubayazit District of Agri. The nearest settlement is the Karabulak Village lying 3 km southeast of the reservoir. It is about 2400 m high above the sea level, on the Göze Uplands. The neighbourhood of the reservoir has been used as a meadow by local people. The reservoir water is supplied by the snowfall, rainfall and flood waters just like the Dumu reservoir. Water runs from a steep and inclining land via a channel to the north. Although the soil conveyed by the channel water silted up the dam, it is seen that the soil has been frequently removed, and piled on the wall of the dam. As there is no other water resource in the vicinity, the reservoir is important for stock farming and sheep and goat farming. No archaeological remains are available in the neighbourhood, which would help dating the dam. It is considered to have been built during the 2nd Millennium BC like the Dumu reservoir.
