It rests on the Tutumlu Hamlet of the Karaagac Village subordinate to the Province, approximately 11 km southeast of the Lake Van and 52 km north of the provincial center of Van. It is 1847 m high above the sea level. It rises on a low andesite rocky hill. The southern and southeastern sections of the hill are covered with large andesite rocks. The fortress measures 66x25 m in dimensions with a rectangular plan, extending in the east-west direction. Natural rubble stones are also observed in addition to the andesite walls. It bears typical architectural characteristics of the Early Iron Age fortresses.
