It lies at the end of a peninsula extending towards the Lake of Van, approximately 5 km from Ahlat on the Ahlat-Tatvan motorway in the Ahlat District of Bitlis. Two door-jamb bearings and a 1 m deep pit carved into the rock were identified in the rocky area. The ceramic data indicate characteristic features of the Middle Iron Age. Rock masonry and sherds indicate the presence of an Urartian settlement. |
