The mound lies on a natural hill, 1 km north of the Kuşçuali Village, 13 km south of the Elmadag District in Ankara. It was discovered by S. Omura in 1993 during a survey conducted in Central Anatolia. It measures 57 m long in north-south direction, and 87 m long in east-west direction with a height of ca. 12 m. The hilltop has been cultivated. To the west are some pits opened during illicit diggings. The sherds collected from the surface are dated to the Iron Age. However, no washed samples are observed.
