It lies within the provincial borders of Kirşehir. It was discovered during the Central Anatolian Survey conducted by S. Omura in 2002. Several sherds from the Iron Age were collected from the surface. S. Omura reports that the Iron Age sherds collected from the surrounding mounds along with the Iron Age sherds collected from this mound are contemporary with the Kaman-Kalehöyük levels IIc and IIa, i.e. dating from the second half of the 8th century BC and the early 7th century BC to the period between the second half of the 7th century BC and the first half of the 4th century BC, particularly with abundant numbers of grey sherds similar to the ones uncovered at Kaman-Kalehöyük levels IIb and IIa.
