It is situated 200 m north of Yedigöze village, 22 km away from Bayburt. The mound is close to the Çoruh River. As it remained among the village settlement, it has been heavily destroyed. Furthermore, it is under the threat of arable lands in the environs. The amorphous sherds found during the surveys bear Iron Age features. Intense traces of illicit diggings are observed on the hilltop. |
