| It is situated on a natural hill overlooking the valley in the Yukari Quarter, south-southeast of the Tingir Village on the Sinop-Boyabat motorway in the Merkez District of Sinop. To the south runs the Küçük Çay, and the Kirgeçit Brook is to the east-northeast. Measuring around 120x100 m in dimensions, it is 15 m high. It contains settlements from the EBA, MBA and Late Iron Age. It was discovered by M. Akif Isin. Two handle fragments from the Late Phrygian Period were found. It is listed among the registered archaeological sites by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. |
