It is situated on a hill next to the ferry quay on the shore of the Van Lake in the Tatvan District of Bitlis. It was discovered in 1956 by C.A. Burney. There are some small channels carved into the rocks as well as an Urartian rock grave and Urartian rock signs. Due to the destruction caused by the stone quarry to the east of the hill, no other architectural elements were seen. The Urartian rock grave consists of a pit-like dromos in the front, and chambers beyond it. The dromos provides access to the hall, which then alllows access to the main chamber and a lateral chamber. There are niches on the walls. A bench surrounds the room in all directions. The second chamber with a rougher masonry was possibly used as a storage for the extra goods occupying space in the burial chamber over time.
