It was situated 1.5 km north of the Igdeli (Saskan) Village, north-northwest of the Bozova District, northwest of Sanliurfa. It has been flooded by the reservoir waters of the Atatürk Dam. Located on the bank of the old Euphrates River, it has a height of 14 m. It measures 130x80 m in dimensions with a steep slope. It was discovered during the Survey of the Lower Euphrates Basin in 1977 by a team under the direction of M. Özdogan. The chaff-tempered and coarse material collected from the surface indicate the Chalcolithic Age. Also found are sherds from the EBA, Iron Age, Hellenistic, Roman, Late Roman and Byzantine Periods.
