| It was documented during the survey conducted under the direction of M. Özdogan in the Yoguntas Subdistrict, 21 km north of Kirklareli [Özdogan 1982a:47]. Özdogan reports that another fortress at Manastir Mevkii of the Koyva Village is probably part of a defensive chain with Polos Fortress, Adakale and Kaynaklar Fortress [Özdoğan 1984:67] Ö. Ertuğrul visited the fortress during a survey in 1995, and reported that it it rather looks like a typical Thracian fortress although it currently appears like a Byzantine fortress. |
