It is situated 4 km southwest of the Ozanli Village in the Çayirli District of Erzincan. To the north runs a stream. The southern sections of the fortress are very steep. Thus, it is accessible from the north. In this section, there are foundations carved into the bedrock, and some canals that were carved onto the bedrock for various purposes. In the souther section there is a rock stepped water tunnel, and several rock chambers which were carved into the bedrock adjacent to each other with unknown function. In the eastern section there are remains from the Middle Age. Overall, the fortress shows characteristic features of the Urartian architecture with its stepped water tunnel and architectural structure. |
