They are located in the Duyduk (Harabebezikan) Village of the Birecik District of Sanliurfa. They lie next to to each other; to the northeast of the Kulabtar Rock Shelters; a little higher than the creek compared to the shelters. They are not so large and deep. At present; they are used as animal shelters. This is one of the sites which may present findings from the Palaeolithic Age in deposits. It was found in 1999 by a team led by H. Taskiran under the "Palaeolithic Survey in the Carchemish Dam Reservoir Region" coordinated by METU Centre for Research and Assessment of the Historic Environment (TACDAM). |
