| It is located on the Satirhöyük rocks to the northeast of the Sakcagözü District within the borders of Gaziantep. It was found during the survey for the Palaeolithic-Epipalaeolithic and Neolithic settlements under A. Garrard. As there are four caves on these rocks; this one was called Cave No. III (findspot 12); based on the published list of the researchers. Among findings are some potsherds from the EBA; Hellenistic and Roman Periods; and some samples of stone tools probably dating to the Middle Palaeolithic and Bronze Ages. |
