Region:
Black Sea

Bartin

It is situated in the Bugdaykaya Mevki near the Yukaridere Village of Kozanli at Bartin District. It is approximately 100-120 m above the motorway on a slope on the side of the road between Yukaridere and Kerpiçli Quarter. Although it is near the road the climb from the woods to the height of the cave is exhausting and takes a long time. When observed from the entrance it has the view of a sinkhole which was vertically formed. The first part which is accessed after a descent on a 45 degrees declination later arrives to a shaft and a long descent. After this descent the cave has a horizontal position bearing a lot of mud. With the declined ceiling it ends all of a sudden. Travertine formations, stalactites and stalagmites were frequently observed above the long descent.
