Location: It is located on the western bank of the Sakarya River; south of Hürriyet Köyü (Tömeköy) west of the Karasu District; in the north of Adapazari.
Structural Properties and formation : It formed inside the aged limestones on the Çakraz formation. Tömbek is an upside down T shape cave; formed in accordance with the direction and dip of the limestone layers. The cave width is 0.5-1.5 m; the ceiling height is 0.5-2 m. There are sand and pebble piles in the section that extends southbound; and dripstone formations; and a small pond in the gallery which is in east-west direction. It is a spring type; fossil; half-active cave.
Research History: It was researched by the Geological Studies Department of the MTA General Directorate and published in 2002.
