Location: It is located on the upper bank of the Yenesu Creek; an important branch of Kazandere; 20 km northeast of the Vize District. The forest road deviating to the south at the Kalinkoru Mevkii from the road between Evrenli and Balkaya leads down to the Yenesu (Saklisu) Creek. Then; a 15 minute walk through a heavy forested area leads to the cave; located on the opposite slope of the Sakli Creek.
Structural Properties and formation : The vicinity of the Yenesu Cave is comprised by the gneisses of the Istranca Massif and Triassic schists underlying the Eocene aged Kirklareli limestones. It is a spring type of fossil cave. The floor is covered by a thick fossil soil; pebbles-sand and debris; and the entrance zone and the last section of the second zone are decorated with many dripstones; including stalactites; stalagmites; columns and wall dripstones which halted their development.
Research History: It was explored and mapped by MTA.
Findings: The most characteristics form of life is the bats. Presence of guanobia is very high in guanos of the bats living in large colonies in the second section. Also seen were frogs in the entrance zone.
