Location: It is located on the Amasya-Cakraz road. 1.4 km before Cakraz; a right is made toward the Karakacak Village. Approximately 1 hour driving after the village; it can be reached at a 200 m distance on the right side of a pathway. However; a guide is needed to find the cave. |
Structural Properties and formation : It is entered through a corridor with a 20 m incline; which leads into a hall with stalactites. There are some pits opened by treasure hunters. Across the hall; a narrow and lower hole continues farther. Elevating slightly; it goes on with catwalks leading into the second mouth. It is a fossil cave; which halted its development. |
Research History: It was explored by BUMAK and ZOMMAK in 1993; and mapped to the BCRA 3c standard. |
