The Esekcukuru 1 Basin lying to the west of the Sorkun Basin is the biggest basin in the region with an area of 3.863 km following Sorkun. Two creeks draining the water of this area sink into small joints 500 m after they are combined while coinciding with the calcareous mass. Continuing to flow at its bed when there is much water; the creek sinks into the Esekcukuru 1 Cave which is only 10 m long although it has a large entrance. The inflowing water disappears through the cracks among the logs drifted into the cave. BUMAK reports that the it resembles a donkey when it is looked from inside to outside. It was explored by BUMAK in 1988; and mapped to the 1a standards.
