| The region is completely formed within the fractured and jointed Miocene limestones. The most common fossil groups in the region are Gastropods and Shells. It is a sinkhole type of fossil cave which halted its development. It was explored by the Cave Research Club of the Dokuz Eylül University (DEUMAK) in 1996 during the expeditions called "Yörük". |
