Location: It can be reached through the road of Gelik Havalandirma deviating from the Zonguldak-Kilimli-Gelik-Ayici motorway. It can be reached by a 15-20 minute walk from Gelik Havalandirma. It is located on the southern side of the Ayici Hill. To 1 km east lies the Kizilelma Cave. |
Structural Properties and formation : Initially growing in the north-south direction; it was furcated in the east-west or northeast-southwest directions depending on the direction of the layers. It has been reported that the bottom is full of debris; pebbles and sand piles; and there are dripstones on the walls; and alcoves on the left (western) side. Grew in a limited area; it is adorned with stalactites; stalagmites; columns; wall and curtain dripstones. |
Research History: It was explored and mapped by MTA. |
Findings: In the entrance zone cave flies are found while bats; though infrequently; inhabit the joints. |
