Explanation: Forty layers were identified by excavations at Beycesultan. Layers XL through XX belong to the late Chalcolithic while XIX through VI belong to the EBA. The fourth and fifth layers are attributed to the MBA while the three topmost layers are LBA. 14C specimens are from the Late Chalcolithic.
