Explanation: The Kenan Tepe excavations have laid that the settlement was continuously occupied from the Chalcolithic Age (Obeid Period) to the Iron Age. The trench no. F4 yielded 4 AMS dates obtained from burnt and organic materials in a kiln belonging to the Chalcolithic Age. The sample no. Beta-156415 dating to the EBA is from the trench F5 while the samples from layers of Middle Bronze Age are from the trench C2.
