Explanation: An EBA layer was discovered under the Medieval castle structure atop Gritille, and under that is a Neolithic layer. The Neolithic layers, which start from 9m. beneath the top of the mound (the beginning of EBA) and descend down to virgin soil, have been identified as having five distinct layers. Each of these layers are at least 4m. thick, and have been labeled A, B, C, D, and E. 14C samples are from the Neolithic, including Pre-Pottery.
